PaNorAmA 12A 10Dec86
Here is disk number 12A of the Vancouver PaNorAmA Club's
freely distributable software. All programs on this disk
are either donated to the public domain, or have been
released by the author as "shareware". Guests are always
welcome at our meetings. Be sure to bring a disk. You can
go home from each meeting with one or two disks of
free Public Domain software. Our club meets -
o The second and fourth Wednesday of every month.
o Room 129A at BCIT, 3700 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby.
o Or phone (604) 270-0064 for more details.
Meet Disk Contents:
ArtistTools
o Egad - An Alpha version of a Gadget editor program from
The Programmers Network. Requires Workbench v1.2.
o SpriteED - a sprite editor program by Scott Lamb. This
one looks fairly complete.
o 3DWireFrame - a 3d Wire Frame Object Editor which looks
interesting. Unfortunately part of the documentation
was lost - will try to get the full documentation on the
next disk.
Gadgets
o PopColours - Lets you change the Workbench screen colours
without going through preferences. By Chris Zamara and
Nick Sullivan. Source included.
CLI
o DOSHelper - Version 1.60 of an online documentation
program to help you learn all of the Command Line
Interface Commands (CLI). Program by John Youells
who asks for a $10 donation if you use the program.
Source is included.
DiskTools
o Browser - A friendly file browser by Bob Leivian who
updated an earlier version on fish disk 18. This
has a file requester that allows you to select the
file or directory you want from a menu. With the
scroll bar you can move directly to any part of the
viewed file.
Recreations
o CSquared - A version of the Circle Squared algorithm
from the September 1986 Scientific American. Similar
to Charlie Gibbs AmigaBasic version, but in C. By
Bill DuPree who includes the source code.
o 3DStars - Wan't to see Warp 2 on the Amiga? Leo
Schwab donates this program and the source code as
well. Different effects are available if you run this
from the CLI.
o 3DBreakOut - Plays "Pong" in 3d if you have 3d glasses.
o Sproing - You guessed it - another version of bouncing
balls. Turn up your volume for this one.
o RayTracing - A few more ray tracing pictures from Dave
Wecker. I modified Bill Hennings program so you can
view the pictures from WorkBench.
A Merry Christmas to you all, and see you next year.
Club Librarian,
Jeff Lydiatt
